Megalovania (Undertale) Keyboard Piano Notes

Undertale is a 2D role-playing video game created by indie developer Toby Fox. The player of this game is supposed to save a child from an underground region that is separated by magical barriers from the regular world. Megalovania is the 100th song in the Undertale. The word “Megalovania” is a combination of “Megalomania” and “Transylvania”. It is a fast-paced song which plays during the final battle against Sans on the Genocide Route. This song is written by Toby. The song was originally composed for Toby Fox’s hack of EarthBound known as “Radiation’s Halloween Hack” which was a submission to Starmen.Net’s 2008 Halloween Funfest. The game’s main theme, “Undertale”, was the only song to undergo multiple iterations in development. The soundtrack was inspired by music from Super NES role-playing games, such as EarthBound, as well as the webcomic Homestuck, for which Fox provided some of the music.

The original version of Megalovania was in the key of A in a minor blues scale, whereas the version found in Undertale is a pitched up, slightly faster and modified version in the key of D minor. The remix of MEGALOVANIA is the first Super Smash Bros. song to be released with a Mii Fighter. Fox’s most well-known work is the 2015 role-playing video game Undertale, where this game gained its maximum popularity. The game sold more than 1 million copies, becoming a “breakout hit” and “pop-culture phenomenon”. In 2016, Fox released a number of unused musical tracks from Undertale. He also became a contributor to the A Profound Waste of Time magazine. The Undertale soundtrack had frequently been covered by various styles and groups. As part of the fifth anniversary of the game, Fox streamed footage with permission of a 2019 concert of the Undertale songs performed by Music Engine, an orchestra group in Japan.
