“Zaalima” is a Bollywood song from the film Raees. Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the tune, JAM8 composed it, and Arijit Singh and Harshdeep Kaur sang it. The song’s music video features actors Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan. Bosco-Caesar choreographed the song. Before the complete release of the song “Zaalima,” actor Shah Rukh Khan posted a few teasers of the song on Twitter, along with some lyrics. In an interview with the Indian media, the female singer of the album, Harshdeep Kaur, said that the female pitch of the song had to be sounded different than the male pitch in the song. She went on to say, “When I first heard ‘Zaalima,’ I knew it was going to be a hit.” It’s an extremely catchy song with a high recall factor. We’ve never heard the word ‘Zaalima’ in a romantic song before. The song has more than 255 million views on YouTube official video as of March 2021, making it one of the most-streamed Bollywood videos on the website.
